‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’
leaderboards are now working again
After an update was applied to “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” earlier this morning, the game experienced issues regarding its multiplayer leaderboards and the ranking system was disabled for repair. While players were still able to play online matches in the game, none of the results of those matches were getting recorded for purposes of updating the leaderboard rankings in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2”. Developer Treyarch announced this afternoon, on their Twitter page, that leaderboards have now been reinstated. Better yet, gamers who played earlier in the day still got their progress recorded and should find their entries placed in the leaderboards in the coming days.
The ‘Mass Effect 3: Omega’ DLC is
asking players to join the fight
Bioware has sent out a recruitment message today on their website asking for fans to join the resistance and take back the occupied Omega station in the upcoming “Mass Effect 3” DLC. The developer has also revealed their own novelty Twitter account, meant to keep players posted on what exactly is going on inside of Omega, was created today.

Gearbox Software announced yesterday the upcoming release of a new companion art book showcasing the many works of the artists who brought “Borderlands 2” to life. The 200 page hardcover will give fans a look at new never-before-seen assets from the “Borderlands” development team as it shows gamers everything from early concept pieces to the finished 3D models from “Borderlands 2”. The artists behind the works also fill fans in on the creation of the designs with behind-the-scenes commentary straight from the people responsible for the look of everything gamers see inside the game.
Amazon’s Black Friday gaming sale
begins
The Amazon.com Black Friday online sale began today and its starting line-up of video game sales has several recent games listed for amazing prices. The AAA titles included in the first wave of Amazon’s Black Friday savings has some must-have games (many of which are less than a month old) that any owner of either the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 should take a look at.
Gamers can now get outstanding savings for many recent releases which include “Borderlands 2” and Assassin’s Creed III” for $34.99. Players can also find “Dishonored” and last year’s hit, “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” for $25.00 each. There is even several titles available for the low price of $19.99 which include “Max Payne 3,” “Dark Souls,” “Batman Arkham City: Game of the Year Edition,” and “Call of Duty: Black Ops.”

The Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map

Gamers who pre-ordered “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” were given the free multiplayer map, Nuketown 2025, to use in the game. Today unfortunately, the full-time access to Nuketown 2025 was pulled from the game when this past weekend’s double experience bonus event ended. David Vonderhaar, the Game Design Director for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2,” tweeted the unpopular message earlier today. It was clear that Vonderhaar knew the news was going to be controversial since he added the note, “don’t kill the messenger” to the end of his tweet.
Assassin’s Creed III to get a huge
Thanksgiving Day patch
Late last night, Ubisoft revealed a full set of patch notes for “Assassin’s Creed III” that will go live for all systems on Thanksgiving Day. The large update will feature several game fixes for both the multiplayer and campaign modes of “Assassin’s Creed III”. The patch fixes range from issues like minor graphical glitches in the game to reworking the difficulty of certain missions that the community has given feedback on.
Skyrim’s next DLC, Dragonborn,
confirmed to bring players back to
Morrowind
Alongside the release of a new batch of screenshots, Bethesda today confirmed that the next DLC for “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” will return players to the Dark Elf continent of Morrowind. In the upcoming Dragonborn add-on, fans will travel to the island of Solstheim which lies off the northwestern coast of Morrowind in order to confront the first ever Dragonborn.
